Ludlow High School
2009 Summer Reading Program
Choosing Your Books:
- All students will read at least two books as part of the Summer Reading Program for the 2009-2010 school year.
- One title will be required, based on the student's class year (freshman, sophomore, junior or senior.) Tests on required books will be given by your English teacher.
- One title will be chosen by the student from a list of 20 options. Each student will complete a project based on his/her free choice book, which will be scored first term.
Borrowing Books:
- Students may also borrow books for summer reading through the Hubbard Library and via interlibrary loan from public libraries around the region.
- When visiting Hubbard for summer reading books, be sure to check the summer reading shelf on the second floor by the stairs for the books on the LHS list and ask July Siebecker or Joan Robb for help if you can't find what you're looking for.
Buying Books:
- LHS will partner with Barnes & Noble to enable students to buy their books at school before the end of the year.
- Students are not required to purchase their books through Barnes & Noble, but a percentage of all sales will be returned to the school to support the Library and the English Department.
